1979: The Beginnings
Beginning of thin-film production on 4" rigid substrates under BBC, now ABB. The roots of our technology date back to the pioneering days of microelectronics.
1992: Foundation
Foundation of Hightec MC AG as an independent Swiss company. The beginning of a success story spanning over 40 years in microelectronics.

1998: HiCoFlex®
First HiCoFlex® circuits manufactured on 6" panels. The foundation for our pioneering in-house development has been laid.
2003: Medical technology
First application of HiCoFlex® as an implant in medical technology. A demonstration of the biocompatible suitability of our technology.

2010: Production line
Completion of the large-format production line based on state-of-the-art semiconductor technology. A technological leap forward in our manufacturing capacity.
2011: Series production
HiCoFlex® large-format serial production has started. This has made large-scale manufacturing of flexible high-end technology possible.

2012: Single-layer cryogenic cables
First single-layer superconducting HiCoFlex® cryogenic cable successfully manufactured. The cornerstone of our current SC HiCoFlex® solutions.
2014: Metallization
HiCoFlex® is realised with metalisation on both sides. This opened up completely new possibilities for even more compact circuit designs.

2018: Multilayer
First multi-layer superconducting HiCoFlex® cryo cable manufactured. A milestone in the production of cryo cables with over 100 connections in a very small space.
2024: New Location
Relocation to a new state-of-the-art cleanroom in Olten, built using the latest technology for energy and cost efficiency.
